An announcement earlier today says at this year's Game Developers Conference (GDC) the one and only Shigeru Miyamoto (Shigsy to close friends like me) will be picking up an award for "Lifetime Achievement". The award is voted for by other professionals in the industry and is a real acclaim.
Shigeru Miyamoto is responsible for many of Nintendo's greatest franchises and games, including Super Mario, Zelda and Donkey Kong. There aren't many people who have done more for gaming, if anyone. Well deserved!
