Sonic Unleashed video leak
The Internet is awash with whispers and hearsay about a new Sonic game called Sonic Unleashed.
Reports say it will be a mix of 2.5D platforming with the kind of running seen in Sonic and the Secret Rings. The target platforms are unknown, but are likely to include Wii.
There's also speculation about a storyline where Sonic becomes afflicted with a curse, turning him into a werewolf at certain points in the game. A new character may make an appearance too, a brown hedgehog. Some, or all of this could be false.

*UPDATE* - Sega of America seem to be taking most of these videos down from YouTube, so it's likely this stuff is genuine.

The whole Wii-can't do those graphics talk is total nonsense as they're clearly sonic secret rings looking, just beefed up. It could very well be a secret rings 2 type game, but this time multi-platform.
The best part of the game will certainly be the music if we can believe this movie.

First off, the game has been confirmed. This is not fake. Secondly Nuked Burrito, that's what the past Sonic games were about. I hope that none of the 3D Sonic games were your first.
Hey that music is lightyears better than the music in recent Sonic games.
That music got in my head pretty easily, MAKE IT STOP (even though the music doesn't sound half bad but still). It seems like a nice 2-D game, maybe all those jerks will lay off Sonic a bit thinking all his games are becoming bad.
It should be on Wii more then any other system because Sonic's like family to Nintendo because of his Smash Bros introduction. Let's just hope Wii fans don't get betrayed by SEGA. Oh and I was thinking of a 2D/3D Sonic game just a week ago. It's like they read my mind.

Okay, WereSonic is confirmed as screenshots Sega confirmed to be legit shows good-old normal blue Sonic in the light with WereSonic behind him in the shadows (just think Sonic, taller and furrier, he still has blue fur though), possibly a hint about how the transformations work? Well anyway, other information I can get is how Sonic exactly gets the ability to transform to WereSonic. Doctor Eggman (yup, he's to blame) captured Sonic while he was Super Sonic and while trying to neutralize Super Sonic it caused a Lycanthropy reaction, turning Sonic into WereSonic. However other then that no information is given about how WereSonic will be used or anything about a brown hedgehog.
In my opinion, it needs MORE cowbell Bibilo. And the game actually looks like it could be entertaining, if it doesn't actually change the camera angles so much. That'll give my dad motion sickness.

The graphics look somewhat impressive if they are for the Wii. Let's hope for it.
The Wii can definitely do those graphics. They're not that spectacular (but they are clean and pretty). This looks like a winner. I'll keep my eyes open.
Uh Keranu, the recent Sonic music is better than this annoying music. I doubt that this music is in the game. But I could be wrong though.
Wow sega. Failed again. Plus the guy that made condemned wanted to do a Wii version. Why not do that sega?
Oh my god, EPIC WIN. I've actually been waiting for a game like this, this could actually be sonics first step back to stardom (if they don't rush it) even though the story seems a little like an "homage" to LOZTP, it's fully welcomed in my eyes.
I've played the ones on genesis, they were fun but this one looks like it's at a much faster pace plus they need to do something different. They probably took the original and just threw a fresh coat of paint on it.
This game looks good and moves fast, let's just hope it goes good in reviews.
It looks very much like 1st level from Sonic & the Secret Rings. But who knows, this might be an April Fools Day joke. Let's just hope to god it's not.
I really don't like Sonic games because the places you go to are too controlled. This for example.
Not another sonic side scroller where all you do is press the analog stick FORWARD. And sometimes jump. Ugh sonic games suck.

I noticed SEGA taking down vids not long ago, this seems to be a very good game but it says on wikipedia there's no tails or knuckles. Back to basics I guess, this could actually be a good thing.
Hmm, could there be Chao raising in this one? It was a fun part of SA 1&2. And in Twilight Princess, you play as an actual wolf. If they put Amy on his back with an extendable Piko Piko Hammer, then I'd be suspicious.

*POSSIBLE SPOILERS* The story is apparently that eggman shattered the world to pieces, and sonic needs to use the chaos emeralds power to bring the continents together again. Tails and knuckles are not in sadly but eggman seems to finally be the main villain again (and a badass one at that). Sonic's werewolf form kicks in at night, although how he gets it in the first place is as of yet unexplained. The game will use SEGA's new "Hedgehog Engine" which they have been working on for 3 years. The game will also make use of a day and night feature, which may well coincide with sonic's new form. *gasps for air*.
