Well by most accounts the Spiderman 3 game is a thorough disappointment across all next-gen platforms. This has seen Activision shares take a hit, down by 5.2% last night. Bad movie tie-ins are nothing new, but it's a shame since Spidey had a real good track record.
Apparently the only good version of Spiderman 3 lies on the DS. I guess that's something.

Wii's World is not officially affiliated with Nintendo! (but they wish we were).

Yesterday I tried the x360 game and it was painful to play. Worst game I've seen in a long time. I honestly I have no idea what the Wii one is like, but if it resembles the x360 one in any way it is certainly one to avoid. Then again if I had a million $$$ to spare, I would invest it in Activision while the price is down. I'm sure it will bounce back up again. I think I read someplace recently that they made well over 1 billion $ profit last year. I honestly never thought they were that large.

Personally I have enjoyed the game, takes a little getting used to and some of the voice over stuff is repetitive but if you enjoyed the 2nd one, this is at least rentable. But in order to really get anything out of it you need to build up lots of experience to unlock all the stuff spidey can do. Anyway, you might think I am trying to justify the 50 dollar price tag but really I've enjoyed it, although it might be the one that gets taken back when the next game I want to buy comes out, I will get my money worth from this one. My 2 cents.

To you, SuperWiiDude. I'd wait until just before the next Guitar Hero hits stores before buying some of Activision. I wonder though; will this message get through to the tie-in game makers? If you're going to make a game based on a movie or a TV show, it has to be a quality product. Not only will it make the consumers happy to spend their money, it'll make the shareholders happy for that subtle rise in stock price.

Wrong! I've got the game and by far it is a joy to play. It's also very addictive since may the 5th I have done 37%.

Oh well. Maybe they'll stop making Spider-Man movies and just concentrate solely on making Spidey games. Then they probably won't suck, I'd hope. This just in: That's not a good idea, forget I ever said it.

To be honest, there were way too many villains. They should have waited until Spiderman 4 to introduce Venom, and Lizard would have been a much better choice.

I got the Wii version and it's not that bad. It's not worth 40 but still, better than most of the games out for Wii.

I really thought that Spidey 3 would save the movie to game debacle but I was wrong. At this point, why bother.

Does anyone else subscribe to EGM, Gamepro, Game Informer, or Nintendo Power? Talk about a hype machine- gluing a 2-page ad to the front of the issue. They put their money in the wrong place this time. And by the way, the Wii game is atrocious. The web slinging feature is worthless. I saw better graphics playing N64 games.

Mr 'wii rox' sir, I get game informer. I was like holy crap when I saw that cover ad. Terrible. I loved the second movie game but apparently #3 sucks, sadly.
