Powerups in Mario Galaxy
You might have already heard about Mario turning into a bee and a ghost, but there's a couple of other original powerups available in Super Mario Galaxy. Here's the full list:
- Spring - Mario coils himself in a spring, enabling him to bounce around and up to higher levels.
- Ice - Mario freezes water as he runs over it.
- Fire Flower - Mario throws destructive fireballs.
- Star - Mario has invincibility for a while.
- Bee - As a bee Mario can fly a little.
- Boo - Mario can travel through closed windows.

There is some pretty good gameplay in that video. It also relieves me a little because I thought that all the courses would be space courses with tiny planets.

In three minutes of video, there were so many styles of gameplay; a little Mario Kart, a little Mario Party, and classic platforming. A definite "must buy".

I do. You need to have unlocked the floating island at the comet observatory. Go in the dome on the island. Choose second star. Talk to the luma. He will let you use a red star that lets you fly. Use it to collect 100 purple coins. After you've gotten them all you can use it anywhere in the observatory.
