Publishers Ubisoft gave a brief statement today concerning its ongoing growth in the market. It said that sales in the US were up a whopping 78%, largely thanks to Wii over the 2006 holiday period. Sales in other regions were up significant amounts too.
Ubisoft have been strong supporters of the Wii from the beginning (both a blessing and a curse). Other major publishers have now seen the light and are beginning to emphasize the Wii in their development efforts.

Some of their games were good but let's not talk about the others. Word to Ubisoft, Redsteel 2.

Who ever said the Wii didn't do nothing for nobody.

Hahaha. I like the "curse" link.

Yeah, GT Pro racing was a curse. I think if Ubisoft puts one of it's A team dev studios on the job to create an orginal IP exclusive to the Wii (better than Red Steel at least), we could see even higher Ubisoft profits. We still need that "Perfect Wii FPS". Tick, tick, it's coming.

Red Steel 2? Amen.

Red steel wasn't that good. That's why I want red steel 2.

Maybe they will reconsider making Splinter Cell: Conviction an xbox 360 exclusive.
