Wii available in Japan

Wii went on sale in Japan earlier today. Around 400,000 consoles were available for the launch and a fast sellout is likely. As to be expected, the queues were long.

I would think that Japan would get more than 400,000 wiis if Japan is where all of Nintendo is. But those people did look pretty happy! GO Wii!
