Tomy: Wii stole my dinner money

Tomy: Wii stole my dinner money

The traditional toy market in Japan seems to be in trouble, with Tomy reporting that estimated profits have fallen from 5 billion yen down to just 1.7.

Tomy have been quick to blame Nintendo for this. They say sales of character goods and card games for boys are slow since the runaway success of the DS. Also the Wii has had an impact on traditional toys.

Not to worry Tomy, I have the answer! All you need to do is make more of these:

Tomy Caveman
Good times right there my friend. Good times.

Well Tomy, get with the program and update the toy line. Come up with something new instaed of relying on the old toy lines. Nintendo is not going to stop if someone complains.

They're right to blame Nintendo; the Wii rocks. And um, toys don't.

Master foot you're absolutely right. Look what Nintendo did: made something different and innovative. I know you just deal with trains but think.

You have a point there Elementrat, we DO have our electronics to entertain ourselves. The only people that play with ACTUAL toys are like 3rd graders and under.

When I was over there, Thomas the Tank Engine seemed really popular. But, that was 2 years ago.
