Having been acquired by Nintendo not long ago, wii.com has been launched. Initially the site was only available in Japanese, but now other languages like English, French and Spanish are an option.
The site currently focuses on Wii's channels and internet capabilities rather than gaming. Short video clips are available, showing example use of the Forecast channel, the News channel and the Mii channel.

It's not fair, us over in Europe don't know when we get the wii until 2 days after the americans. The european wii.com is "coming soon".

No, Wii channels are the menu. But you can look at the forecast and news. Though I do wish we could watch tv on the wii.

Wouldn't you play the Wii ON a TV, Unknown?

Ok folks, they call this marketing. See, the Wii controller is remote shaped, which is simple to understand for anyone. Henceforth, using a TV-familiar interface makes sense because it will be easy to put two and two together.

Isn't that what I was implying?

What Nintendo could do is put on the shopping channel a download for tv. Like Nintendo got the internet off Opera, they can get tv off Sky or Ntl.
