Tidbits from the Wii Manual

Here are some small bits of new information taken from the Wii console manual.

  • Some new info on the Photo channel.
  • Dates displayed on the calendar range from January 2000 up to December 2035.
  • The Wii console uses a 24 hour clock.
  • You can't send photos from your Wii to a cell phone or PC user.
  • 3 to 8 feet is the recommended usage distance from the sensor bar.
  • Usage in direct sunlight and other types of light source can make pointing less optimal.
  • If you adjust the rumble or speaker settings it affects every Wiimote used with the console.

There's some good news and bad news in there, nothing earth-shattering though. Still good to know for reference purposes I suppose.

3 to 8 feet is not much for the controller range, but who cares the Wii will still rock!
