Wii Play best selling game of 2008

According to figures from the NPD Group, Wii Play was the best selling title of 2008 across all platforms in the US. Clearly a lot of people will have bought it for the controller bundled in with the game, but a win is a win. This is how the top 5 sellers looked:

  1. Wii Play - 5.28 million
  2. Madden NFL 09 - 5.25 million
  3. Grand Theft Auto IV - 5.22 million
  4. Mario Kart Wii - 5 million
  5. Call of Duty 5: World at War - 4.63 million

Sales totals are taken from figures across all consoles.

WOW! COD5 came out in November, I think that means in 2 months it's bagged 5 million copies. But COD5 is the sickest shooter you'll ever play.
