Hello keyboards, bye Freeloader
Seems like yesterday's Wii firmware update did more than neaten the interface after all. Turns out that USB keyboard support has been added. According to reports, keyboards can be used with the message board and the Wii shopping channel.
On the down side, Freeloader discs no longer work. When you power up the Wii a message will display "error has occurred". Bummer if you play imported Gamecube games.

Might as well wait. Wii Action Replay comes out in september. Don't know about Freeloader.

So will the Wii freeloader still work once it comes out? I don't have a freeloader for my gcn, but if I did fortunately I still have my gcn.

The keyboard does not work on the internet channel, only on message board and to search in the shop.

Wii Action Replay comes out in august not september.

No bad news for me. I can't wait to start typing on my Wii. I'm going to do it just because I can also.

I never play import games anyway. But, hells YEAH! I can use my keyboard on the Wii! When I get one, that is.

Freeloader lets you play imported games, which normally don't work due to stupid region coding. Hope that helps.
