Wii wins E3

The results for the Game Critics Awards: Best of E3 2006 are out, as to be expected the Wii won best in show among other categories:

  • Best of the show: Nintendo Wii
  • Best hardware or peripheral: Nintendo Wii
  • Best sports game: Wii Sports
Great news for Nintendo fans as expectations for wii climb ever higher.

Good to see people in the industry recognise wii as a serious force. Would have been a sham if it didn't come out on top.

Yes, Wii is a very weird name but heh, the controls and games are awesome. Too bad they didn't keep the name "Revolution" though. I am glad that Nintendo has not been underrated with the whole "kiddy" theme. Oh do I hate that term!

I'm glad to see that Nintendo is coming out on top this time around. I love the gamecube but for some reason it did the worst in the console wars, wich was a shame. FINALLY! NINTENDO IS BACK IN THE TOP SPOT!
