Woolworths UK taking Wii preorders

Woolworths are now taking preorders for the Wii console and games in the UK. They guarantee delivery within a week of launch day, which is not bad considering the intense demand for Wii.

If you live in the UK and don't have your Wii preordered yet it might be well worth (pun) checking out.

I wish I lived in UK too. I want Wii so bad and most of the news you hear about Wii is in UK or US no stuff for Canada.

True - a lot of cool stuff happens in the UK. But us and the rest of the PAL region nearly gets everything last - even the Wii! It's not fair!

You're probably better off staying in Canada, everything is overpriced here in the UK. Judging by the link, looks like Woolies preorders are now closed.

Preorders over here in the uk are pretty much filled up. The only place I think is Argos which just started taking them this week. There are some retailers still taking orders but they say it's a first come first served basis for after launch date. I'm not to bothered about the launch date, I'll be happy as long as I've got one for Christmas day. Which is 2 1/2 weeks after launch. Plenty time me hopes!

I live in the UK and all of you who are wishing to visit, you are not missing a lot. I mean, what do we do? Eat chips, drink tea, get beat up by chavs, get laughed at about our teeth. So now you see.

It's really not that good in the UK. I want a Wii but everywhere is booked + I'd love to live in Canada.

I preordered a Wii from Woolworths with guaranteed delivery and guess what? They've sent me an email saying they can't deliver now! A-holes.

I too pre-ordered from Woolies, and haven't heard a thing. The ironic thing is that I asked the sales assistant if they we're definitely able to supply my order and was told 'Yes'. I asked him again, will I definitely get one on release? By this point he turned round and said sarcastically, well put it this way we'll be getting 11, 000 on the day of release so what do you think. Just goes to show that you should always trust your own judgement!

I ordered from woolies on Saturday after seeing they had more stock in. In five minutes of me ordering they were all gone, they said that mine should come on Tuesday 30th Jan. That's very good, it will only take days. Can't wait to get it, only 2 days now. Good luck everyone else.

Everyone is having reports saying "They never get their orders from woolsworth". Why? And what is the difference between 179? and 250$. Is it worth more or less than 250 US dollars?

I also ordered from the web on Saturday, they also said Tuesday 30th, now I've received a message saying before the end of Feb!- They have no idea what they are doing.

I have ordered a Wii and they said they will ring me back in around 2-5 weeks. It's now 7 weeks since they have said that, do they really have any in stock?
