Publishers Majesco have revealed a side-scrolling shooter for Wii is in the works. It's not just any shooter though, Blast Works: Build, Fuse & Destroy has a geometrical style to it and will essentially let players create their own game. John of Majesco Europe commented:
"Gamers can literally build their own shooter experience via Blast Works' easy to use, multiple in-game editors. This exceptional customization combined with the unique "stickiness" of enemy debris and bright geometric graphics delivers a standout game that never plays the same way twice".
Well it looks original at least, I haven't seen any shooter like it before (see screenshots on the game's page). Fingers crossed, maybe it'll turn out sweet.

Wii's World is not officially affiliated with Nintendo! (but they wish we were).

That is a first! I have never seen or heard of a game like that. That is a great idea. But I think it is one of those games that you just want to rent or something.

Oh yeah I've played this game before, it's a really shmup. It's kind of like Zero Wing since you can grab enemies and throw them and stuff. Totally rad.

All games have the potential to turn out sweet, just most of them don't. I'm not so sure about this game though. I'd have to play it first to get a real estimate of how good it is.

This has amazing potential. If users can trade their custom built levels online, well that could be awesome. Unfortunately it's being developed by Majesco so odds are this game is going to be a huge disappointment.

Have you heard of wiiware? You get to build your own Wii game and then share it online. Oh yea, looks good.
