Nintendo have sent out a mass email confirming you will be able to purchase Wii Points from the Stars Catalog on the official site.
Great news for those of us with a lot of stars saved up.

Wii's World is not officially affiliated with Nintendo! (but they wish we were).

Yay I'm a vip, all those that have bought ANY Nintendo item, go onto Nintendo.com and type in the vip code that you get in your game case, and you get stars. You also get 5 stars for just signing in.
Koen van Beeck said:
Nintendo of Europe better do this too. I have a CRAPload of star points to spend!
Doopie said:
I have tonnes cause all the rewards are for decent pholyphonic phones and mines monophonic.
rayze said:
Awesome I have 6000 points.
cmk said:
I never register. I guess I'm lazy, also I'm never on the comp anymore (cept for this site :D).
octopod said:
Where do I find these vip stars?
Owlboy said:
How do I check how many stars I have or even look at the catalog?!
aj360 said:
Damn I lost my vip slip.
wiiman said:
Where do you get these stars? Is it a website or catalog?
PHiRE said:
Stars are the things you get free with Nintendo games and consoles. Inside the game case there's a sheet of paper with a silver thing you scratch off to see a code. Register at www.nintendo-vip.com and enter your codes there to build up your star points.
Ekaj185 said:
That's pretty cool.
octopod said:
I just read somewhere it is only in europe and the UK.
Owlboy said:
Yep everywhere but the Americas.
euter said:
Cool I got 6500 stars. I never gave some away since I registered there. I hope you can trade them 1:1.
PHiRE said:
I've got 5060 right now. In case anyone missed it, you get 500 stars with your Wii console. Plus some with Wii Sports.
Tjharwin said:
I think I am currently on 3385 stars. I've never purchased anything off the site because I only registered when I heard about buying Wii points and I'm saving them all for that. I hope that each Wii point is 1 star. I don't want to be paying around 5000 stars for 1,500 Wii points.
Snubble said:
Is there any website or any way to get these stars?
Zupertails said:
Not entire Europe people. Don't be too jealous. I live in Belgium and the system hasn't been implemented yet.
basilb said:
Who's actually seen this email? I haven't.
Gaz said:
Where is the sheet containing stars with your Wii? Because my Wii doesn't seem to have it!
misc said:
The stars that come with the Wii should be in the Wii sports game case.
sinni800 said:
Gaz, it's by the manuals. In the plastic bag. The one from Wii sports in the Wii sports case. How intelligent. So I got 500 points: 250 Wii, 250 Wii sports?! With my gamecube set I got the same (wind waker set). 500 for the set.
wiiping said:
Ultimate power! I have stocked up over 8000 Nintendo stars over the course of the thingy and they finally pay off. Now I have to hope for a 1 to 1 conversion rate.
WIIII said:
I've got chuff loads of stars but when is it coming to england?
meesa said:
I agree with WIIII - better come to UK.
Gonzo said:
The sheet with the silver thing you scratch off. I never looked for that yet.
moe said:
What do you get with the stars?
Mikey the Pikey said:
Does anyone know the conversion rate? I have 3000, but I can't find anywhere the conversion rate. BTW any of you who are getting the Sandisk Wii memory sd cards then DON'T! You can get a 2gb sd card for 12.99 on amazon, so don't pay the massive 37 extra just because it says Wii on the front!
justin said:
Wii points please.
Yella said:
It says on the uk ngamer magazine for feburary that by linking your VIP account to your Wii and by filling in an online questionnaire you can trade your stars for Wii points.
krups said:
Where on earth (or the web) do you exchange them?
PJA said:
Cool, I got 4020 stars but I never see anything I like, so it's good to see that you can get free Wii point with stars.
Brad said:
I have none. Yay.
Voice of Reason said:
If you think you'll get 1000 Wii points for one thousand stars you must be dreaming. You'll more likely get 100 or 200 points for a thousand stars.
CapJake said:
I heard it was 2 stars to 1 point.
Ashton said:
I'm new at this so how do I become a vip and get Wii points?
Gonzo said:
How do you find your stars? Where the heck are they! People say in the Wii Sports Case, in some sheet where you scratch off some silver thing? Where the heck are they!
Deadlyblack said:
That's a great idea!
sarah said:
So it doesn't work in the Americas *sigh*. I want to have Wii points *cries*.
cris said:
There on your game register card, that's where the star points are.
Nintendofan1989 said:
Does anyone know the date when Nintendo VIP will add Wii points to the stars catalogue? Next summer I'll lose all my stars and I need to know.
luji said:
When can you do this? Can't wait.
Nightmare said:
When will Nintendo do this? I need more Wii points and I'm skint.
Fangsfromyourmum said:
When is this going to start then!?
GodfatherObie said:
Hopefully it won't be long, Currently at over 13000 VIP Points. Just hope the conversion rate is good, 100 Vip = 100 Wii points would be nice.
Ogichi said:
Well it is officially a 4:1 conversion rate for anyone who doesn't know, not that good. I'm in the UK and it's here, so the way we always get things after a delay I would assume it's out in most countries now. Sucks to be in South Africa though, they have to wait until the 2nd half of 2008.
Dave said:
Argh! I'm in South Africa!

I must say I got extremely excited with this at first when I was reading about ways to get free Wii points (there's no way unless you steal someones number thing aha). I'm from Scotland and I wasn't too sure when it first started but I noticed a week ago or something. Ogichi is right; and if you're not good at ratios it's THIS MANY (400 stars) for THIS MANY (100 Wii points). And you can buy a 300 point card, 500 point and 1000 point card. But you can only buy one a day. Don't be a moron and go buy games just for the VIP card things. It's cheaper buying the points. I say this because I know someone will be stupid enough to try it! Wii RULES!
JT said:
They should bring out more N64 games, a lot of the games on the virtual console are just rubbish. Banjo Kazooie should be the next one on there.
TOM said:
You can get Wii points by saving up stars, you get these stars in a Nintendo related game like mario kart Wii, pokemon battle revo, harvest moon, and loads more other Nintendo games. I hope this helped most of you, I use it quite a lot.
Plaugefiend said:
Damn, I don't have a lot of stars. I thought buying Wii point cards was expensive.
Ultigonio said:
Lolwut? Where do you get these? *Checks Nintendo site*.
liamc3000 said:
For all of you people out there who want to know, the conversion rate is 4 stars for 1 Wii point. Hope that helps.
Morguhn said:
I've got a question, someone please help me. I just got my Wii and I have wireless and all that. People have told me that when you get a Wii you get 500 free Wii points. Is this true and if so, where can I find them?
Matt Solo said:
Do you get Wii stars for registering your Wii console, and if you do where is it?
nitt said:
This is false. I have over 100 Nintendo products and not 1 came with this.
