Today's dose of SSBB goodness from the official site tells us about crates and barrels.
When you break these things open, a number of items can fly out. As seen below though, barrels and crates don't always look their wooden selves. Depending on the stage they can change in appearance to suit the surroundings.

It looks like they have upgraded the physics engine since the crate is sliding down the incline. Nice touch with the crates and barrels. Maybe the Metroid stage will have Ing pods as crates and barrels or even the confetti ball!
