Nintendo of Europe have announced that the News Channel will be updated later this year. The update will include a lot more news and content focused specifically on the region.

I think that the next step should be video feeds from different locations around the world. Although, a regular computer can do that, I think that the Wii is a more potent outlet than the computer itself. Why can't the goomba smile for once, poor goomba.
