Japan sold out on launch day

Reports indicate that Japanese retailers sold through their Wii stock of 400,000 consoles on launch day. This means that the Wii has already sold over a million units worldwide.

A further 600,000 consoles will hit Japan by the end of the year. 500,000 are expected in Europe for the launch on Friday, December 8th.
