New Wiimote straps

New Wiimote straps

A new revised strap for the Wiimote has been spotted in the wild. It features a plastic clip that locks in place, instead of the sliding fastener.

This is already the second strap revision in the Wii's brief history. The first one being a thicker piece of cord connecting the Wiimote to the strap, because some people (spastics) were swinging the controller with all their might and letting it slip.

Seems a lot more convenient actually. I was tired of the strap always loosening itself while I was in gameplay and sliding up and down my arm, irritating me beyond belief. I might look on Nintendo's site and see if they'll send me a free replacement strap or something.

Spastic! I've never had any issues with my wrist strap. My guess is this is to keep the lawyers away.

It looks good, but I doubt I'd need it. I wonder how Nintendo are going to market it. I doubt another recall would work. They'll probably pack 2 in with every first party game, and that should keep the customers happy. Even if they don't want/need them.

Spastics! Anyway, I'm fine with my Wiimote. I'm not stupid enough to let go of the controller! Why would somebody do that?

People shouldn't be careless or dumb enough to break their strap anyways.

I found to use the DS strap, in my opinion it is more comfortable, it even has a sliding fastener.
