Something's not right here. Why would these two powerhouse companies want to make a game based on the Olympics? Olympic games have never done well. And do they really thing that we'd like to see Mario do a gymnastic floor event? Here's a better idea: how about famous Nintendo characters from around the world take on famous Sega characters from around the world (which, hopefully, will include a bunch of people we've never seen before) in an Olympic similar competition. That would be a better seller than the actual Olympics. By the way, has anyone heard about Mushroom Kingdom Hearts?
