Wii Firmware 3.1 update

There's a new firmware update for download, just waiting to burst onto your Wii machine. The additions are mostly concerned with the Internet:

USB keyboards compatible with Internet Channel.
Message Board can be opened in the Internet Channel.
Send links to friends.
Copy text into the Search function.
An update to the Everybody Votes Channel.

The USB keyboards is a pretty good change. Now they just need to get java for the browser.

You said it, it is better than nothing, and it's what I was looking for. Searching, links, and copying, is all that I needed for better browsing. So any chance we'll see anything compatible with some kind of Gamecube features? Like, screen shot tool for any GC Game? Or like, downloads for new maps and areas or something. Like example: Metroid Prime- New Maps, and creatures/bosses. Zelda- New secrets, and lands to run (in this case oceans- referring to windwaker).

Will this help to unbrick a ntsc-us version of a chipped Wii? I would appreciate if someone could help. I have tried fixing the Wii for around 2 years now! Pls Help.
