News from GDC suggests that the motion sensing technology used in Wii could find its way into mobile phones. A demo was unveiled where tilt-ball and driving games could be played on a phone using gestures. Mobile games developer Paul Coulton commented:
"The possibilities are endless with this technology. It's about thinking of new ways to play games, that might be played by very different people than we are used to".

Wii's World is not officially affiliated with Nintendo! (but they wish we were).

Sweet. Maybe they could make a game like the tilt-ball minigame in the Twilight Princess fishing hut.

Hmm. How are you going to see the tiny screen if you're waving the phone around in the air?

Samsung had a wand-like waving phone where you draw numbers in the air to dial, it was on the gadget show in the uk.

I loved that tilt ball game.

Maybe they could make a Nintendo phone then, like the Wii phone.

Drawing numbers in the air? Let's try shaking the phone to answer an incoming call, yeah, that's great use of motion sensing. Tilting games for cell phones would be cool though. Who's Link calling, Midna or Zelda? Playa playa!

Wow, I did NOT see Wii making any sort of connection to cell phones and especially cell phone games. Sounds pretty cool nonetheless.

Wiiboy101, That sounds cool!

Hey Master Foot, don't forget Malo and Saria! Even though they're in different games.

This could be really bad for drivers. People would be shaking the crap out of their phones and it would take their attention off the road. I could see this having some interesting applications in games though. Maybe you could wave the phone in certain patterns to do different attacks in an RPG. Why is everyone talking about this now? Because the Wii made this technology famous.

It was a long time ago before Wii launched. I can remember thinking that's cool but wiimote is going to be very very cool indeed.

I have a cruddy 20 dollar cell. It can't go on the internet for beans so I'd say this has nothing on me.

That would be tight.

What about the wiimote being a phone? That would kick some serious.
