I thought this game was pretty damn good. The graphics were awesome and the system where you can play as bad and good is just so cool!

I agree with both of you, plus the chaos give it so much replay time.

The music for the final boss battle was pretty awesome too.

This was Sonic Team's best game to date. Hopefully Sonic and the Secret Rings, as much as I hate that name, will be better.

There's only one way to get a better Sonic Game than this. If it was digitally enchanced with new features.

Awesome Sonic game. Choosing bad or good was a great idea. I love the redone Sonic The Hedgehog 1 Level too!

How come it go bad reviews? I thought it was great.

Never trust magazine reviews like EGM. They had it out for Sonic ever since Sonic Adventure.

I agree, X-Play does that too. They're biased. Of course, so are we. We're Sonic fans.

Either way, this game is awesome. It's the only game when Shadow wasn't an emo loser who wanted to discover his past, but only whined about it. This is almost the PERFECT 3D Sonic game, but only on the Sonic and Shadow levels. Tails and Eggman levels were pretty good, but I hated Rouge and Knuckles Levels.

Sonic fan, now you might take this harshly. I liked this game, but honestly did anyone like spending 3 1/2 hours digging for an emerald? And x-play and egm are right (I don't like gamepro though).

This game was awesome with a capital A. I loved those three little Chaos, especially the little blake one.

Taking the point of view of reviewers like X-Play and EGM, the games have gotten progressively worse since Battle. I haven't played DX, so I won't say anything about it. But, the camera in Battle was weak. My only complaint. Shadow's game sucked. Lack of a concrete story is forgivable due to the ladder build, but the aiming was broken, the horrible made the bad level design stand out, Sonic Team fired the old voice cast and replaced it with Sonic X voices (I miss Knuckles' old voice). And with Heroes, the recycled levels ticked me off; if you're going to have four different teams, have four different stage lineups. Sonic Adventure 2: Battle was the last truly great 3D Sonic game. I still have high hopes for the Secret Rings, or Wildfire, whatever it's called. But, until Sonic Team figures out why the franchise is failing in the eyes of the reviewers, they'll never earn those high grades again.

That's it DragonFoxCoon, if I hear one more word about you saying that Sonic is overrated or that it sucks, then I got two words for ya, SUCK IT! And stinky12694, maybe I didn't like the treasure hunting levels, but I still like the game. See, the Sonic games may not have been all good to some viewers but I still love it. In Sonic Battle, it isn't your standard Sonic game. It's basically a fighting game with RPG elements and sure the AI is pretty brain-dead. They just run at you and attack and that's all they can do. And if they are damaged then they'll get some distance and heal themselves. I like the Sonic X voices better than the Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2 and in Sonic Heroes. Because in those games, Amy is hell-bent on marrying Sonic and he wants no part of it. And I like her better in Sonic X, I mean she's still in love with Sonic but is far more reserved about it. I don't see why you think it's the last truly Sonic 3D game that was best made. I have Sonic the Hedgehog for the Xbox 360 and while all the characters have frustrating controls and the camera is off, it still is a great game for me. And maybe Sonic Heroes was probably not good because of the team mechanism. It can be pretty difficult, but that's why Team Rose exists, a kid friendly goofy team that gamers can play as a pink hedgehog, a cute rabbit and an amusingly dumb cat. The other teams are more difficult because they are more adult kind of stories than the others. Sonic Heroes, I have gotten the hang of it and I like it. I respect Sonic Team for whatever they can do and how they do it. As for Shadow the Hedgehog, I love that game because Shadow can use weapons like guns, rocket launchers, street signs etc. It may have 326 endings but it's still a good game for me. And DX was okay but it had some downsides, it's still a good game for me as well. Now the reason I love Sonic is because of the music. In just about every Sonic game, the music is great and I love it. So I guess in conclusion, we are two different people with different opinions. I am for what I say and you are who what you say. But at least take consideration.

I agree with what Sonic Fan said, if you don't like how Sonic games have gotten so far, keep it to yourself. No one wants to hear disapproving statements on a game Sega worked SO HARD on. I mean, it took them a lot of work for Sonic X360. Show some sympathy for once or just keep that lip of yours zipped. I say, all Sonic games have been approving in my opinion. And I hope future Sonic games will be just as great.

I have not played the Secret rings yet, because I still don't have a Wii. But I should get one at the end of March, which is like two days or so. Oh, and I forgot about Sonic Riders, I play that game all the time. And I still enjoy it.

Well said, DragonFoxCoon, well said. This is for sure the last sonic game. Knuckles definitely had the best voiceover. I never really felt the joy in any other following sonic games. Today, Sega puts in more for the graphics and digital art, but less on the enjoyable gameplay expressed in Sonic 2: Battle. It's not that this game had horrible graphics or anything, but it seemed, in my opinion, perfect the way it was. You don't need a lot of freakin' publicity to make a classic. I mean, it's been five years and we're still talking about this game, whereas everybody hates sonic games today. Sonic is still appreciated, but nothing ever stays the same, but still love that blue hedgehog.

In my opinion, this was a great game. To heck with graphics, Sonic was made not to need the "see the sweat on the character graphic" to look good. One of my favorite games. Though I spotted something odd in the Last Story. Dr Gerald Robotnik's journal said he finished Project Shadow after Maria was killed. How would the real Project Shadow know Maria?

This is the last we've seen of usable chao. And prior to the last time the horrible voices takeover. And Amy Rose is barely in it (Yay! I hate Amy). If Sega makes more Sonic games like this, Sonic's future will be as bright as Tails' intellect. Pretty dang bright.

Why don't they put the chao garden feature in games like SMG2? Raise a Yoshi or something.
