Doesn't really grab my attention too much. Then again, I'm not one for anime graphics.

That's cool. But why do most of the box art have to have Sol & Ky? Give the other characters a chance. Like Faust or Dizzy?

Anime. How can you make an anime cover and not appeal to zillions of legions of anime lovers. Perhaps that is the reason most anime games haven't done so well. Developers aren't required to put any effort into their anime based game. If the main character has giant stylized hair, it's a surefire sell. I don't understand. I'm not saying I hate anime though. I know I'm going to get flamed extensively for this but I think it is way over-rated. No criticism for this game though, it looks like it will be good since so Guilty Gear seems to have a rabid cult following.

What is with this need for spiky hair?

Yeah that's good 'ish. AYe!

Before you decide to hate a game just by the box art, the same way there's anime fans there's people who hate anime so don't put some lame excuse for people liking certain games (spiky hair). I'm not sure if you have or haven't played GGXX at all but it's pretty fun. I'm not that big of an anime fan myself, but it's still a good game.

I love anime, so I am definitely getting this game.

I can't tell if the artwork is anime art or the bishonen art from the Castlevania games.

News flash elementrat, guilty gear is not an anime based game, it's an arcade 2D fighter and is considered one of the best out there. While you are right that anime based games usually have little effort put into them, (most of them all use the fighting system started by the naruto fighting games on gamecube, though now they are starting to become more smash bros-esque. Minus the DBZ tenkaichi games which are surprisingly good) the reason they sell well is because people like the anime, so they buy the game. Only time that's not the reason is when some 8 year old kid sees a cool cartoon looking guy on a cover and wants that game. Any mature anime fan would not buy a game just because it looks anime-ish.

There's a different box art for this game in the US. That version has Holy Order Sol & A.B.A instead of Sol & Ky.
