Rabbids invading the airwaves

Rabbids invading the airwaves

The most recent issue of Nintendo Power reveals that a new Rabbids game is coming, this time without the Rayman branding.

Raving Rabbids TV Party is the title (for now at least), and it focuses on the Rabbids' attempt to take over TV. Some snippets of info are known:

  • 65+ minigames.
  • In Story Mode, players play through a week of television, where new games are shown each day.
  • Wii Balance Board is used in a number of games, one where you sit on it and use your ass to guide a wild animal.
  • Ubisoft focusing more on single player this time around.
  • Some first-person shooting games still included.
  • No FMV.
  • Music will play a big role. There's also a Weather Channel, Movie Channel and "Trash TV".
  • Rayman not very involved, reduced to cameo appearances.
  • Online leaderboards will feature.

Raving Rabbids TV Party should be out during the fourth quarter of this year.

Do we really need more mini games? Correct me if I'm wrong when I say there's too many mini games on the Wii.

Quite honestly Rayman was never really involved with the Rabbids series, they just used his name to make it more popular. Rayman games SUCK with the exception of Rayman 2, which is actually one of my favorite games. Sure Rayman Arena was decent but meh. Also, I like the sound of that "sitting on your ass" mini-game. Whoo.

Ubisoft has just killed the rayman franchise. It's not this game which I might get. Rayman used have great platformers, now he's in mini games. Thanks ubisoft. Why can't they just make 1 more platformer?

Cool, the Raving Rabbids have been pretty much the only good party games on the Wii,.

Sounds great! More parodies ahoy! Very creative with the TV vibe thing. Maybe it will incorporate the actual Forecast Channel? Wait. No full motion videos? They were kind of one of the selling points. Ah, well, no one wants to play a Sega CD again.

Poor Rayman. Hope this doesn't mean the fatal end of the Rayman Series.

Yes. They listened and they took out Rayman. So now, when I play the next Rayman game, hopefully it won't be filled with those dumb, overrated rodents.
