If holding the Wiimote is just too easy for your tastes, you might be interested in these new Riiflex Dumbbells.
Designed to add resistance to your workouts in Wii Fit and Wii usage in general, these weights still grant access to all the remote's features - including the B button and IR sensor. They come in two flavors:
These things are still in the prototype stage right now and aren't for sale yet. A patent is pending.

I know most people probably will think this is a stupid product and a waste of an idea, but I actually think it's a good addition to the Wiimote and will probably get one of these out of my love for physical fitness.

If I wanted a dumbbell Wiimote I'd do it myself.

I'm with diddy kong, it's nothing some duct tape and heavy objects can't handle, 25lbs FTW!

Paying real money for 2 lbs?!? What is this world coming to?

This is actually a really good idea. I probably won't buy 'em because I'll be able to find a cheaper solution, but for many who are using Wii Fit this will be perfect.

I was actually completing my EA Active workout last night and thought at that time this would be a great product. The resistance band that came with EA Active is lousy at best. I found some 5lb dumbbells and used them in my workout, but it was difficult to hold on to both the Wiimote and the dumbbell. I hope this product gets manufactured soon.

Jj: get a new resistance band. Target sells heavy ones which are way better then a 5lb dumbbell. With the heavy resistance band it is like lifting 25-35lb weights. Maybe the 5lb weights would be good for the running part, but in general it isn't a good idea.

Great idea, I use them all the time, so much better than the "rubber resistance weeny bands".
