After a good, but thoroughly laggy, presentation by Reggie Fils-Aime and friends, we finally know a lot more about the details of the Wii U launch. The console will be available in two different bundles, a basic white one, and a more expensive black one. You can find the release dates and pricing for each region below as well as what the bundles contain:

  • Europe - November 30th
  • Japan - December 8th

  • US - $299.99 (basic), $349.99 (deluxe)
  • Europe - Decided by retailers
  • Japan - 26,250 JPY (basic), 31,500 JPY (deluxe)

The details between the basic white console, and the deluxe black one are as follows:

** The Deluxe Digital Promotion mentioned up there is a scheme where for every digital download, you receive points towards future titles on the eShop. This promotion is set to run into 2014 and perhaps beyond.

Very interesting! I expect I'll go for the deluxe box, depending on how shops price it over here in the UK. The game and extra storage draw me to it, plus black fits in my living room better.
