Wii U streams MP4 videos over LAN

What else can it do?

Some cool features of the Wii U are no doubt just waiting to be discovered. YouTube user WillyGunZ has found one of the first - in that Wii U is capable of streaming MP4 videos from your PC across a local network.

To use this feature you must have a web server like IIS or Apache running on your computer. From there it's just a case of entering the server's IP address into the Wii U's Internet browser.

Unfortunately this only works with MP4 videos, the Wii U browser doesn't support the more popular formats like AVI or MKV.
