The sprites from the SNES version did not look as large as the ones in this version.

That's because this is the Neo Geo version which was an arcade perfect home port of the arcade MVS version. The Super NES game was awesome for its time though since it was the only version where you can play as both Earthquake and Amakusa. Earthquake was not in the Genesis and Sega CD version and the 3D0 was very rare to find. The Game Boy version though let's you play as the referee and the courier man as well as Amakusa through the use of a code and it had the best musical scores of any portable SS games.
