So got to get this game for my virtual console. I hate Mario honestly but his games just scream Play Me.
The first game I'm gonna get on vc. This is an absolutely amazing game.
This is one of my most favorite video games in history! I hope they have enhancements for this version.

This game is good but I have it for my DS so the first VC game I'll get is Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie (two best games ever). And I just bought an Xbox360 so I could play all the Rare games I'm missing out on (please don't hang me, Playstation is 25X worse than any console).

I have the N64 and the DS version. I beat the game probably 20 times by now. But I'll probably download this on the Wii as well AND beat it again!

I have this game of the n64 and it is awesome. I'm getting it for my Wii when I get it.
I have an unfortunate confession to make after playing super mario 64 I got myself super mario bros on DS and Mario Sunshine for gamecube. Still hate the little blue and red plumber but his games have captured my wallet I mean heart.
I used to play this game all the time when I got the N64. Then I got bored. When the DS came out I got Super mario 64 DS. Then I got bored again. But not this time!
If you have only got this on the Nintendo ds, get this one because with the ds they ruined it, its not a classic. My cousin has this for his N64 but his controller doesn't work well, and I don't even like the controller shapes, so maybe for the first time I can play this game properly.
The only thing different about the N64 & DS versions is that: DS, it had not just Mario, but Yoshi, Luigi & Wario. It had a few more stages, it had 150 stars and more bosses. N64, 120 Stars, Yoshi gives you more lives after mastering the game and the graphics weren't as good as DS. But I still think this game is great!
This game is hot. It has better graphics than the other VC games.
I can't wait to do the stair glitch, yay!

Until the legend of zelda: ocarina of time comes out, this is the best game on the virtual console.

What megasamus is saying is the endless stairs thing, you know, the one that leads to the final stage, but will remain unreachable until you get 70 Stars.

Dood, Wii Freak, you said that twice already. And believe me, it ain't going to happen. Know why, because Rare doesn't work with Nintendo no more. They work with micriosoft now, in other words, BK games on Xbox. Sorry if you're depressed with this. I am too, but life goes on, and we have to deal with it.

I JUST found out that Tim & Chris Stamper the founders of Rare, have LEFT Rare to pursue "other opportunities". Now that they're gone, who knows, maybe Rare will go back to Nintendo?

Well, at least they didn't buy Capcom of US. There are still Capcom games that are coming out for other systems. For example, SNK VS Capcom Card Fighter DS and Capcom Puzzle World!

From what I heard, it was a hoax. They even made a fake screenshot of a Luigi-like Mario. You think we're that dumb? (I'm not saying that to you Wii Freak). But yeah, people like to trick us like that.
No, people WANTED Luigi to appear in the game, but then was later put on the DS version, along with Yoshi & Wario.
Also in super mario 64 DS there was a rumor that waluigi was unlockable.
It still works for my n64 but I got it for the vc so that it will go anywhere my Wii goes and for the convenience.
And like I said Wii Freak, it's a Hoax. I see these things with me own eyes, and it's false. I mean, I saw a screenshot of a false Waluigi in a fake screenshot. Waluigi would NOT look like what I saw. And you're right B Darius, Luigi was wanted, but wasn't gotten until SM64DS.
Nintendo needs to make a game where Bowser Jr gets kidnapped by Mario and Bowser has to save him.

I've always wanted to play this game when I got the instruction booklet from my sisters friend, but I got it on ds so it won't matter.
You don't need the instruction book to play a game! Just work out the buttons.

I never thought that the sequel to this game didn't come until this generation. Of course Super Mario Sunshines is a good game but it doesn't had the epic platforming glory to this game and Super Mario Galaxy.

Sniff best Mario game ever, I remember playing this when I was 3 and getting freaked out at everything. This even trumps Super Mario Sunshine heck even Super Mario Bros 2, which despite being criticized are actually better than others.
