Mario & Sonic wins GC

The Leipzig Games Convention (GC) took place recently in Germany. The judges have now awarded Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games with the honor of Best in GC.

The announcement could be considered surprising since Super Mario Galaxy and Wii Fit were also in the running.

Not surprising: it beat Wii Fit. Surprising: it beat Galaxy. This helps me sway more towards buying it, though I still need a bit more convincing. The second I hear about swimming, I'm sold.

Way to go, Mario & Sonic. I've seen some gameplay of the game and it looks really fun. The only problem is that a couple of the characters are referees. Of course Lakitu is a referee, but also Toad, Cream, and even Espio is a referee. I just hope they can be unlockable characters.

I'm still going back and forth on whether to buy it or not.

With Espio he could start running, turn invisible, and then just go back to the starting line if it's a round track.
