This game is set in the official settings of the 2008 bejing games. But I must say, some of the games look strange - "engage in exhilarating battles of table-tennis".

Both of them are good in aspects. Sonic speedier, and Mario the jumper or swimmer. So Sonic wins in the 100m and Mario in swimming, maybe Mario has more practice in athleticism, but in a fight Sonic would kick Mario's ass.

SSonic22, in a fight Mario would have to win. Sonic can jump and spin, mario can hammer, jump, and shoot fireballs, you know how cheap those things are.

No way, Sonic can turn into an unstoppable ball and cut him in half, or use chaos control. All of you think Sonic can just run and spin, you haven't played Sonic Battle, even though forget everything, he would just turn into saiyan *cough* Super Sonic, and that's it.

Nope Cream, Toad and Lackitu will be referees. Of course they were running at the same pace for the shot, it's obvious. They confirmed it will have 20+ characters, Shadow will be in it (theres a flag of him). They are saying that Wario, Blaze, Silver, Omega, Rouge, Daisy and some others will be in it too. The sad part is NO STORY, but just having the 2 most iconic mascots in the world together is enough.

Everyone has different opinions, but this is a fact. Mario has a lot more characters than Sonic.

Now that you mention it Darius, there seems to be more characters in Mario than Sonic. I've been hearing criticisms about too many characters in Sonic, but Mario has 10 times more and it never got any criticisms about it. I think people are putting Sonic down too much.

Check out the crowd detail in the last shot. It doesn't appear to be an ocean of cardboard cut-outs, like most games. If that attention to detail is any indication, this could be a very well-made game. I only hope you don't have to pump the wiimote and nunchuck to simulate running legs in the races. That would get old quick.

The thing about Sonic Characters is that once they appear in a game, they're never heard from again! For example, Nack the Weasel, Bean the Dynamite, Bark the Bear, Mighty the Armadillo, Ray the flying Squirrell, Metal Knuckles, Tails Doll, Egg Robo, Miphiles, Erazor Djinn, Black Doom. The list goes on and on.

Old time characters like Bean, Bark, Mighty and Ray, they weren't the most popular characters back then. I doubt a lot of people would understand who they are. That's the reason they don't show up. The only character I would not mind at all coming to the Sonic games would be Fang the Sniper. That is his original Japanese name. "Nack the Weasel" sounds hectic in my opinion. Miphiles is spelled "Mephiles". Those last three bosses could up show up again one day. I know that the Sonic games have definitely improved.

There are certain Mario characters that don't make another appearance in a game. Say for examples, Brighton & Twila from Mario Party 6, plus Mallow & Geno from Super Mario RPG (even though Geno made one cameo in Mario & Luigi GBA).

Well, Brighton and Twila were only specifically for Mario Party 6. In case you guys didn't know, Brighton is the sun and Twila is the moon. The two of them were fighting, and you had to collect enough power stars to stop them fighting.

What about the characters from sonic riders, espio, charmy, vector and I reckon big will be in too. Shadow and rouge are definitely in.

I really want to see chaos or blooper in that game. Anyway when I heard about this game, I thought this was a terrible idea. But as I read about more and more I'm getting to like it.
