Brawl's first stage shown

Brawl's first stage shown

Well the official site for Super Smash Bros Brawl has relaunched. So far though there's not a great deal of new info (I guess Mr X was talking a load of balls).

The first stage has been revealed though, it's called Battlefield. It's a simple design with one main platform and 3 smaller platforms overhead. Some shots of Battlefield at various times of the day are shown below.

I like the Battlefield map for "Super Smash bros Melee" better, it just looked cooler. The day night engine in Brawl though, adds a great effect.

The day/night system is a good addition but what about the fighting? I'm sure that Nintendo could have squeezed a little more power out of the GCN because these graphics look great. I hope that Nintendo makes a minigame where you control Master Hand using the wiimote.

Great graphics (but I'm still on the "gameplay before graphics" side). I just went to the site, it even has a preview of the music in the game. The menu has some links that cannot be clicked on yet; so you know what that means. They will be announcing some new characters. The site is very nice, I hope they update it very frequently.

Dude of the courses seen in the videos, they all look pretty basic. Too basic. Oh well, they'll probably change over time if they haven't already.

My god look at those graphics! They're umm... REAL. I hope they update very frequently and hopefully a character list with a little more depth than what we already know will appear once that link is created. It'll take away a bit of the suspense of waiting for this work of art. Let's just hope that if there is a little more depth in the character roster so far, it doesn't disappoint us.

I think Nintendo has been worried more on the gameplay than the graphics, that is why the system is doing well and this game will be awesome.

So what if the stage becomes dark? I can just put on my night vision goggles and I'll still see you in my sights. Oh and to all the PS3 and 360 fans who are seeing those screenshots, in your face! Just look at those graphics. Wii graphics can so match PS3's and PS3 is 600 dollars, I got 2 words for you, RIP-OFF. And for 360, I'd have to turn off all the lights in my house and my dad would have to pay double the electricity bill just to turn the thing on! PS3 and 360 are just loads of crap.

I think the day/ night system is just there for effect and does not boost any characters power. The effects would just be shading, realism effect, etc.
