SSBB themes and My Music

A trio of musical updates for Super Smash Bros Brawl from Sakurai this morning. Two theme tunes (pokemon theme FTW) and details of a feature called 'My Music'.

"My Music" lets you decide how often certain themes are played during battle. Ideal if you have favorites or if you can't stand certain tracks. There's also a new item in-game, a CD, it adds to the music selection available to you.


Choose wisely grasshopper.

This is better news about music than music itself. The pokemon song was like they start off with leaf green and fire red to ruby and saphire. By the way, the ending was cool, better than the beginning.

Sweet. This will be great for players who are fond of certain songs. Also this means that the stage music won't get boring since there is more than one song.

What a great idea, being able to hear what you want when you Brawl. I can't wait to hit this feature. They actually have me excited about the in-game music! Only Guitar Hero is supposed to do that.

What I found more interesting is the list of musicians that have a link on the site. The introduction to the list calls the list "risky" and I think that's because we might be able to guess at what other characters may be in the game from the 3rd party groups. For instance, what is a composer for NiGHTS doing on the list, unless there will be a NiGHTS stage? Something to think about.

Yeah, any time customization comes into the picture you're pretty much pleasing everyone. It'll be a nice new feature. As for the music, I forgot how monumental the theme was. I think it's absolutely fantastic. The new Pokemon music sounds nice too. My favorite part has to be the guitar at the end. It adds to the effect, or something like that.

This might be pretty interesting, however the CD's appearing is a small pain with my luck since my favorite song is going to be the one that has the lowest appearance rate.

This is one of the best updates I've heard so far, thanks Sakurai.

I like the remix of the Melee menu song, has anyone heard it? It's awesome. It's in the music section, the musicians, "Menu 1". It's the default song for Battlefield. Also, Sakurai said only one song can be played on every stage, it's got to be the Main theme.

I wonder what other music they are going to have on smashville. There are a lot of choices.
