Wii Light Sword accessory

Wii Light Sword accessory

Play, a gaming retail site based in the UK has a listing for a new accessory that looks a lot like a Light Saber.

Officially named the Wii Light Sword, it powers up bright blue LEDs using three AA batteries.


You can't win Darth.

The light sword is penned for release on November 30th. There's currently no mention of whether it will be compatible with Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

It looks cool, but it looks like it would be annoying and stop the Wii-mote from seeing the sensor bar (or candles and stuff).

I will use this only if they come out with a star wars lightsaber arcade kind of game, like the ones they have in.. well, arcades. So then instead of seeing a saber on screen, I get to see it in my hands.

My girlfriend bought me this and lego star wars for my birthday and they ARE compatible! It's kind of awkward playing it though, and you REALLY have to watch where you're swinging your remote now but otherwise it rocks. If you have one, try turning the lights out and video yourself swinging it. I know this sounds sad but it looks awesome.

Actually I have two light sabers and you can't use them for anything really, what a rip. Better off just saving your money.
