Roll out the red carpet, it's the premiere event of the season (and it's a slow news day). Time for some Wii's World Awards of 2007, which was a vintage year for gaming I'm sure you'll agree.
In just one short year since the last "awards", Wii has forged ahead to become the #1 selling console of this generation and is now a household name. Good job Big N.
Super Mario Galaxy
Predictable perhaps, but true. You'll find no worthier title for "Game of the Year" than Super Mario Galaxy across any of the platforms. It was a triumph. I'm making a note here: huge success.
With wonderfully innovative level designs which constantly throw something new and interesting at you, all the while remaining strangely intuitive, Galaxy is a AAA game of the highest order.
