I hate when they call games a gta rip off. It's starting to become a genre. Just like when doom came out. They called every fps after it a doom rip off. But now fps are one of the most popular genres of games.

Yes, Reservoir Dogs is horrible. And yes, the do-anything-you-want, free-roaming, and crime all-in-one game is becoming a genre of its own. But, to avoid being called a GTA rip-off it has to innovate where GTA hasn't, which is becoming hard to do. And, as far as I know the Godfather hasn't done that yet. It's a licensed game so I'm staying away from it. Most licensed games suck. MOST. Riddick rocked.

That's right Gonzo, GTA 4 (written as IV) will be released in October/November 2007. The game features a brand spanking new engine, and is reported to be set in London, which follows the chain around from GTA 1 which was in San Andreas, to the second which was in London (seem familiar). Anyways, no reported storyline as of yet. It was unveiled at E3 2006, if you want to search for Videos. It is rumoured that there will be online play. Now all we need is GTA on Wii. (In 3D- Not like the crappy one on DS).

Two mind blowing questions: 1) Reggie's really doing that, Trentonwii? 2) Jimmy are you telling me there was a DS GTA? Hm. RockStar generally doesn't favor Nintendo. But if they DID make a Wii Grand Theft Auto, then I think it would really improve the shooting experience.

Yeah. Reggie has been talking to rockstar. They were impressed at the Wii lanuch and have said they will probably make some sport games for the Wii. Reggies pushing for gta and says he wnats as many popular series on the Wii as possible.

Rockstar might port an old version of GTA to Wii to test the wiimote. One thing that they should also fix is the traffic AI in GTA San Andreas. It is awful beyond words. That's the only game where a stationary tank can go from zero to 60 in less than 3 seconds while you're being chased.

It's great to see that there will be more mature content for the Wii? Not that I don't like games for a younger audience, but, maybe it's that way of thinking that made the GameCube so under-rated.

Forget I said I'd shoot myself, I'll just drop a nuke at Rockstar Studios. That should solve all my problems. Have nothing against Godfather, good game. Dunno if I'll try it or not.

I have the Godfather game for my Xbox 360 so I'll probably pass on this game, but does anyone know what's the difference between this version and mine? And the PS3 (shit) is getting something called the Don edition.

What's wrong with M games on the Wii? I know that sunshine and flowers are cool but, being "Mature" feels a bit more fulfilling sometimes.

The Godfather is nothing like GTA except for the free roaming aspect. The Godfather is my favorite game for the Wii so far, I played it on my pc but the Wii remote makes this game a classic in my opinion. It's the first game on the Wii that has addicted me, not even Zelda did that.

Godfather for the Wii is awesome. When I bought it on the 21st, I played it and I was skeptical about the controls because sometimes they would mix up when trying to do a gesture. Now I'm used to the controls and they work fine. If you like free roaming games this is a good one.

This game is sweet on all systems, but the controls for Wii really gets you in the action. We need to get more games like this on the Wii because I'm hooked on this one. GTA? Hopefully.

Just bought this game I must say I'm bloody surprised there have been no tabloid headlines or outcry over it, it seems have been totally ignored. When I saw that you can use the wiimote to garrote, throw people into a fire, beat the shit out of them and smash their heads on a table I was pleasantly surprised. Looks like we will have no trouble with manhunt 2 then!
