Noah of nintendo bunker, no one here who likes the Wii wants to hear your comments on what you think of the games. Like it's alright to state your opinion but do you have to be so blunt with your words? These are for people who would enjoy the games that Nintendo will provide for us to play, so don't throw your comments at the games just because you aren't intelligent enough to create your own console and games. So stop being so jealous. Anyway I hope it's like the Digimon World games but enhanced, like new digimon in it that Nintendo put some creativity into.

Cool Digimon. I'll give you some history, Digimon was made 50 years before Pokemon but who cares. This game might be fun.

Yea Pokemon is a copy of Digimon, but Digimon is sweet. I seriously can't wait.

Digimon's storyline is much better than the Pokemon storyline. And the games are much more addictive also.

Digimon kicks butt, it's cool!

TehB0n5lyK1n9 said:

The storyline itself is awesome but somehow they messed it up. There is no new merchandise out in stores and you hardly know whether or not that toy your little brother got from that garage sale is anything to do with digimon. Actually pokemon has nothing to do with digimon except for the obvious elements and the "mon" in the names (but what kinda word is digivolve anyway?).

Darunia106 said:

He's right about the merch, because there has been no new stuff in stores, I had no idea this franchise was still around. I thought it died with the Digimon dungeon hacker game.

Actually Pokemon copied Digimon but came out better than it.

Digimon was cool. At least the first season because unlike pokemon, these kids were dropped into a world that they knew nothing about, so everything that happened to them was unexpected and teamwork played a big role. Oh and digivolve is the combination of digital and evolve, I thought it was kind of smart. If this game has the same feel as the first season, I would play it.

Yea be much cooler if you could design your own character, if you are a human that is! Maybe you're just a digimon but I'd say its like the arena games where you fight. And Pokemon so copied digimon, also the digimon episodes were more unexpected. Like you think they are gonna win at one point and then get destroyed or something and in digimon the digimon actually die sometimes. In Pokemon they don't, they just run outta energy and faint and pokemon isn't much of a story it's about one boy who wants to rule all pokemon. Digimon is so much different but maybe we thought wrong thinking that digimon games were going to be put to a stop. Maybe after that last game they made they thought they should make a new game but base it on the most popular and fun digimon games, like the digimon world games.

Digimon is interesting. But many people think it's a copy of pokemon but pokemon is actually a copy of digimon. That might confuse people but it is true.

Digimon came BEFORE Pokemon in Japan if you can believe that.

You guys you should watch the new digimon series. It's digimon savers, they took a new drawer and a new kind of story and I swear it's not really childish now.

Avatar

I hope it's a lot like the Digimon: Rumble Arena series.

ganondorfrules said:

I hated the Digimon Arena series, I prefer Digimon World.

Avatar

Riley said:

This is going to be bad. That'll teach Digimon to try and compete with Pokemon. No offense to anyone here, I just don't like it much is all.

Avatar

Lickwid said:

The first Digimon Arena was a really cool fighter with a wide selection of characters (for the time). It also had "great" graphics. I never played the second one, but I heard it wasn't as good. It plays like a mix between DBZ Tenkaichi and Soul Calibur. If this is like that, I would play it.

Avatar

quartzlcc said:

Digimon is still *alive*?

Avatar

ganondorfrules said:

Well pokemon and digimon can't compete because they have sold equal shares just in different ways. Yes it is still alive. I'd rather digimon world than digimon arena.

Avatar

myspacebarisbroken said:

Come on, of course Digimon is a copy of Pokemon! Digital Monsters, Pocket Monsters. Can't be coincidence.

Avatar

wii-mote dude said:

Hopefully you get to fly with the wii-mote and shoot big holes in the ground. That's always fun.

Avatar

ganondorfrules said:

Ok let's settle this stupid dispute about digimon and pokemon copying each other otherwise we will never get anywhere. They both copied each other and they are both equal in different ways so you can't compare.

Avatar

Nick said:

I haven't heard of Digimon for a couple years, did they run up the numbers of digimon like they did to pokemon?

Avatar

DarkVic said:

I never was a fan of Digimon, and never will be. Its last installment sucked. What makes you guys think this one will be better?

Avatar

ganondorfrules said:

Just instinct tells me haha. Well I don't really care as long as I think it's interesting that's all that matters.

Avatar

Must..have..wii said:

Pokemon kicks Digimon in the pants! How could you possibly compete with the awesome intense goodness of Pokemon? It was all inspirational and everything! Trust me. I was a fan of both, but Pokemon.. THAT was the greatest childhood memory of all time. Who didn't want to catch 'em all and become the pokemon master? Did Digimon take over the world? I think not!

Avatar

ganondorfrules said:

Because Digimon was in a digital world and was only released to certain countries. Pokemon only kick started because of the cards and Digimon kick started with the Digimon tamagotchis.

Avatar

Captain Jamesman said:

Whoever said that Pokemon was a copy of Digimon got messed up. Pokemon came first! But I like Digimon a little bit, since the only one I played was World 4. I hope this game will be just like World 4!

Avatar

Digiman said:

The first Digimon World game was the best. You could explore the whole island and fight different monsters, plus you could raise your digimon and depending on how you did it you'd get a dfferent monster. If the new one is like that I'll buy.

Avatar

Captain Jamesman said:

That sounds more like Monster Rancher.

Avatar

ganondorfrules said:

Monster Rancher was awesome and so was the game.

Avatar

wii-mote dude said:

You know, Digimon was INCREDIBLY AWESOME until the fourth season. I mean, people turning into Digimon? That is just weird. But I think that fighting with the wiimote will make up for that disapointment. I can't wait to actually throw gigantic energy balls. It will be awesome.

Avatar

Captain Jamesman said:

People turning into Digimon? That sounds more like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon.

Digimon was made first (I've done research), they were cool. A fifth season was made in Japan and is coming to America in '07, it is like seasons 1-3 and the game will probably be super-sweet!

It never comes on any more but I hope it shows again soon. Plus, I hope this is nothing like Digimon World games.

I liked the first Digimon World game, never played the second one and the third sucked. I think this game would have great potential if it played like the first game with improvements to graphics, monsters, longer life span and a better camera! Also I'd like to add that although Pokemon was popular in America before Digimon was, Digimon was created far earlier than Pokemon in Japan.

Avatar

Wii Boy said:

This game should be 4 players and you should be able to choose from all the main Digimon in each season. It should not be like digimon world 4. I mean giving them guns and swords? That's like shadow the hedgehog which also sucks. Except for 2 player mode.

Avatar

O_0 said:

Digimon I always disliked. Who cares if it came out in Japan before pokemon. Pokemon was always better! Digimon were a bunch of fruitcakes.

Digimon have failed were pokemon have succeeded.

OctoBot said:

Pokemon IS better, but still Digimon has that taste that Pokemon lacks, and the story is a 1000 times better than anything you could say for Pokemon. I don't know the seasons' orders, but I like the first one, the one with the black towers (second?) and the one with the cards and viruses (third?). That armor Digimon sucked like hell, I mean gawd, where's the Digimon? I played Digimon World on the PS1, I was 6~8 years old so I didn't understand anything! Never got past the first driller purple boss thing, I really just played for fun and didn't understand anything, but a lot of fun!

New Wii-land said:

Ok the Mon in Digimon and Pokemon means monster. Digital Monsters and Pocket Monsters.

Neither the pokemon or digimon franchises understand how to make a better game. Obviously the first seasons of each were by far the best, but COME ON! Pokemon coliseum and Gale of Darkness were the same stinking pile of crap! And for Digimon, I gave up after Digimon world 2. So Namco, If you can read this, then I have two great words of wisdom. DONT SUCK! Remake the first game that everyone liked, boost the graphics and add a few more monsters and you have made a game that could restore digimon to its once prideful perch of the gaming world!

Avatar

Sonic Fan said:

Hey Ezekyle, what about the fourth Digimon World game?

Avatar

Captain Jamesman said:

Yo (Name), you shouldn't give up on all Pokemon & Digimon games. Try ones that suit your taste for games. I'd recommend trying the 4th Digimon World game. That kicked ass!

Avatar

(Name) said:

I looked at the fourth Digimon world and nearly cried. Since when could a Digimon use weapons? But I suppose a lot of games looked strange to start with but ended up pretty sweet. And I haven't given up on Pokemon games! The up-and-coming Diamond and Pearl versions look crazy good and I saw a preview for Pokemon Battle Revolution that completely stunned me. Picture it, a Groudon's Hyper Beam so powerful that it took out Deoxys in one hit and it left a hole in the ground. Anyway, I am just saying that Digimon has gone downhill, trying new ideas when their original idea was the greatest. I still have a copy, but sadly I don't have a system to play it on, so instead of buying a Playstation, I am waiting for a bigger, better version to come out on the Wii. Is that so much to ask for?

Avatar

Captain Jamesman, you raised a good point. I shouldn't give up on Digimon games. Speaking of, have you or anyone else reading this ever tried Digimon World DS? I'd like to see how it is done on the two-screen system. I'm still skeptical about getting it, so I'd like your opinion.
