Judging from what I saw in last year's E3, Twilight Princess looked simply breath-taking. The graphics were super and the gameplay seems impeccable. After seeing the game once again in E3 2006, I can only say - Wow! The graphics are surprisingly better (especially the water); I see why Nintendo decided to delay the game and it was for the better. This game will undoubtedly be the best Zelda game ever, perhaps the best GAME EVER! I just can't wait any longer.
Well down under you can pre-order the console but not games. I have this one pre-ordered for gamecube though, I'm going to end up having both.
This could be the first game to get a 10/10 by critics on the same day as the system launches!

I doubt there is a pre-order copy for the Wii, but just get the one for Gamecube at Amazon. I pre-ordered it from Amazon and cancelled it because of the Wii version. I'm just gonna wait but I hope they get enough copies for everyone!

The game of the year. This is going to be one of the first games I get on the wii.
This is, quite frankly, my single most anticipated game in video game history. I was all fired up for its GameCube release in April and when I heard that it would be delayed until the late fall, it's safe to say I was more than a little disappointed. But now that I've learned about some of the gameplay aspects added for the Wii version of the game, I'm once again incredibly excited about it. This is definitely going to be among the must-haves for any Wii game collection.
This is going straight on my list of games to get with the Wii even though I'm gonna lose a lot of money tomorrow.

This game is going to be bad ass. Some ps2 games get made in the same time period that this game has been delayed for. This game will be better on the cube than any next gen ms or ps3 title. OoT took you to another world and this will do the same, pure ninty gold. Can't wait to open that box and slide my disc into my sexy wii (that don't sound right). Oh well till then I will talk about it on the forums and dream of Hyrule at night. Wii to the future, in Nintendo we trust.
Wow, no one else could express their love for Zelda in such a profound way bentendo, I salute you. But really, my love of video games for me started with the Legend of Zelda: A link to the Past on the Super Nintendo. The first system my family owned and one of the first games I ever played, it's still one of my favorites. The next Zelda game I played was OoT on the N64, blown away again. Ever since I've played and now own in at least one form, every single zelda game to date and they are all amazing to some degree. The only exceptions in my opinion were Zelda II on the NES which departed from the classic formula tremendously and Link's Awakening which was kinda dumbed down and uninteresting (one dungeon you actually had the ability to mess up and start your game over due to it). But still, if the game has remained this awesome with such small blemishes on its record, and Windwaker was still amazing despite the art style, Twilight Princess will be the Half-Life 2 of the next-gen consoles. Viva Nintendo!

In the end of Majora's Mask, Link just leaves on his horse. Skull Kid and his two fairies wave goodbye to Link and the game ends. The thing on the stump playing music in OoT is Skull Kid without Majora's Mask on.

This is going to be one of the best games of 2006-2007. I am just a bit worried about the controller, I don't want it spoiling the gameplay. I have played every Zelda game and really don't think that this will be as good as Ocarina of Time. I have beaten so many Zelda games, and the TP coming out soon is something to die for. I have beaten Ocarina of Time (NGC and N64), Zelda, Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link, Four Swords (Gameboy and NGC), Link to the Past (Gameboy only), Majora's Mask, Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons. The only ones that I haven't beaten are Wind Waker and I'm half way through that and the Minish Cap but I can't stand the graphics. I'm struggling my way through them not wanting to play but loving the series and history with them. I freaked out hardcore when TP got delayed. I had a party set up for it and all. Me and a couple of buddies playing it to get as far as we could in one night and throwing in some SSBM every once in a while. Also I'm ready for some Super Smash Brothers Brawl but Twilight Princess will be the best game by Shigeru Miyamoto. Congratulations to him and his series, I live off of them.

The Zelda series rocks! I'm going to have to get this game in order to complete my Zelda collection. Since some people are posting how many Zelda games they've beeten I think I will too: Legend of Zelda, Adventure of Link, Link to the Past, Ocarina of time, Majora's Mask, Oracle of ages, The Wind Waker, Four swords adventure, Minish cap. The only ones I haven't beat, because I don't have them are Oracle of Seasons, Link's awakening and Four sword.

This game doesn't have any instruments. Instead you just use plants, like taking a piece of grass and blowing on it to make the pony come to you.

I love adventure and fighting games and I got to say, The Legend of Zelda is one of the greatest action packed adventure games ever. THE ENTIRE SERIES! Mario may be Nintendo's icon but his games are too nice! There is no thrill in Mario games so Zelda games kick ass. But Mario Bros games have more characters.
I prefer Zelda to Mario because there's more storyline to Zelda games. In my opinion Mario is cool and all but it's the same thing most of the time on NGC. It's all against Bowser to a certain degree.
Yes, that is a good point. With games, for me it's all about story. The Zelda series and story have been getting darker and more mysterious, which is really cool.
Well it's been a while since I soaked in exactly what this Zelda game will have, let's see if I hold up. Hmmmmm. One of the greatest game series of all time, great graphics and art style, get to turn into a wolf, an extremely big world, launch game for the Wii, perhaps a Light/Dark world system, and absolutely no sign of Tingle. *elongated silence* *head explodes with glee!*.
This game is going to be killer, new weapons like the new boomer and hawk, the iron boots used to go on the ceiling at some points, also Link being able to turn into a wolf sounds awesome. I have my Wii and LoZTP Pre-ordered from Toys_R-Us already and can't wait for the release. Also with the estimated gameplay time of 75 hours it is well worth your time and money to get this game!
I read in an interview that it will take 45 minutes to ride from one end of Hyrule to another. Do you know how huge that is! Hundreds of square miles. I think this game will feel just as epic, but the puzzles might be easier than OoT, because the trend in gaming now is to make games easier so that everyone who buys the game can finish it.

Also heard in an interview that there will be MORE puzzle solving than in OoT. That doesn't necessarily mean harder puzzles, but there are sure to be more.

I hope there's a new sword. In some pictures he has a simple longsword with a metal hilt, and in some he has the Master Sword. Getting the Biggoron Sword was so awesome (and hard) in Ocarina. It was freakin' twice as strong as the Master Sword!

Yea I'd say 45 mins to walk or run, maybe a quarter or half the time when riding. In Australia they aren't letting anybody preorder yet, what a bummer.
Nope, it's ride. That's why you have the horse from the beginning of the game. At least that's what they say. Believe me, I'll be the first person with a stopwatch beside me when I get the game to verify it. Hey, it has 100 hours of total playable content so the world has to be big.
I'm not sure where, but I did hear it was a long time to ride across the land. Although I'm fairly sure it said it would be full of side quests, if one gets bored along the way! Thank god they let us Preorder our TP's here.
Where's Navi?
Navi is most likely not making a return. Instead of Navi you will have a guide named Midna, a little imp-like creature. I know it comes with you in the twilight realm, but will it be in the regular realm too?
There is a fairy in the Wii version of the game, but it is simply called the on screen cursor by developers. I guess it's more of a practical tool than a main character.
This is one game I'm definitely getting at launch. There's been so much positive info about this game, from Link's alternate wolf form to the massive size of Hyrlue, what on earth isn't to like about it? The only bad news I can think of them announcing is another delay, which is highly unlikely.
Go ahead and hate me, but I was never really able to get into Ocarina of Time. I'm more of a "Link to the Past" guy and I didn't really like Wind Waker either. I'm hoping this'll be the Zelda to get me into the 3rd dimension.
Actually Singapore, I felt the same way when I played OoT, but the game has grown on me and is one of my favorites, but it can never replace LttP, that game is classic. Here's to hoping that TP will set the new standard.

You know what's a little strange about Twilight Princess? It's that the Wii version of the game is coming out first. I know because I pre-ordered the Gamecube version. I got a messege from EB saying that the Wii version is coming out in November & the Gamecube version coming out in December!
Now that they say the bow is going to be on the B button, you must get the bow very early in the game. They wouldn't leave a main button like that out for long.

This is going to be the greatest Zelda game of all time. It's such an imaginative story. Link is the greatest Nintendo icon.

To answer a few questions, they did change the Twilight Realm. Before it was almost completely grey and kind of boring but they added color and whatnot. As for a fairy, there won't actually be one in the game but the pointing reticule acts as one. If you look at game footage the pointer is actually a fairy. As for Midna, she's the little imp that rides you when you're a wolf in the Twilight Realm. In the normal realm she appears in an "alternate" form, which I won't spoil for you. Let's just say she's linked to Link's new sword which isn't the master sword. As for instruments, I don't think you have an actual item, because in the demos I just pick up random flowers and blow on them to make tunes. You can summon a hawk and Epona in this way. It looks like this is going to be better even than OoT, the best game ever to this date. Definitely the first game I'm getting. The storyline seems amazing. The Zelda games always have the best storylines. And to those insane sony fanboys who say that the Big-N is only for kids and has crappy graphics, LoZ:TP will shut 'em up good.
By the way, does anyone know what the targeting system is like? Will it be the same as Oot and MM because those were the best. So simple and easy to use.

A movie based on Zelda would ruin the franchise, remember the Zelda animated series? Link's not supposed to talk anyway, so it would look weird having the main character not speak throughout the whole movie. To pass the time until I can play this wonderful game, I'm playing Link's awakening on gameboy color (I don't like GBC games on GBA, even though I have one). Days left: 1 month, 13 days until launch. 2 months, 19 days until Christmas.
And we don't know who the villain is. I'm having a guess like maybe Midna, I know he's Link's guide and he rides Link when he's in wolf form but it's my opinion it may be possible. I don't think Ganondorf would be in this one.
Yes that's right SHE could be the villain, but as you said SHE's the guide so it would be a good plot twist. However, I'm quite sure Ganondorf will be in this one. In fact, there isn't a doubt in my mind.

I don't think the wii has much competition. Especially with the Xbox 360, who would want to buy a 500 disk melter? And Sony has lost so much respect copying all of Nintendo's ideas. With the Wii having Twilight Princess I don't think they have to worry much.
I hope this game is three times longer than Ocarina of Time because that was one of the many things I loved about it, its length, the intense puzzles, the story plot. I hope this game will still have the triforce and master sword in its plot, otherwise it just wouldn't feel like Zelda. Nintendo has been holding this back for a long time but it will be worth the wait. The gameplay and graphics are stunning. I will be playing this for months straight. A must buy.

Yea I want the game on Wii but when I went to EB games today the price for Twilight Princess was $199 and I went to the ebgames website in the US and it had it for $49. Now I'm not a rocket scientist but I think that if you convert 49 US dollars to aussie dollars you should get a price tag of around 89. Can anyone please give any insight into this matter?
I hope to God this game has nothing even remotely to do with The Windwaker. That game still haunts me in my sleep to this day, and I've only seen it played once, maybe twice. Anyways, I'm sure this game is going to kick ass. As long as it has nothing to do with The Windwaker.

Aussiekid, in australia I'm quite sure none of the games will go over $109, and that is only third parties. Nintendo will limit at $100, and I suspect that zelda will be $89 as you said.

I have been a Zelda fan since the originals and I absolutely loved Wind waker. You have to be a little more open-minded, obviously anything you see that's remotely cartoonish is immediately rubbish.
At least in the Wind waker Link actually had some kind of expression. I loved that game and actually played through both quests. The toon style fits the game nicely even though it's easy.

Anyway also the twilight princess is Zelda and yes the legendary Ganondorf will be in this. If you guys are wondering about the legendary weapon the master sword it is also in, it but unfortunately you start out with a bigger more realistic version of the sword you have in the beginning of wind waker. In Nintendo we trust.

Some of you'll sue me for saying this, but I loved Wind waker and of course I really enjoyed OoT. But I could never really get into Majora's Mask.
Is the zelda version for wii going to have better graphics than the gamecube version?
Same here ablex, it felt too small and confined, however the mask morph ability was pretty sweet.
Why would we sue you? I didn't find Majora's Mask to be as great either. Probably because you had to transform so much and relive three days over, and over, and over.
Zelda is one of the most exciting and origanal fantasy rpg that has ever graced my eye holes.
I like MM. Sometimes the three days cycles pissed me off but it made the game challenging. And Zelda Freak. Where are you getting that insane info? The girl on his back is not a pet, Zelda is not the twilight princess, Ganon may not be in it, and the first sword you get is completely new, the Orodon sword, not the WW one. The only thing you got right is that the master sword will reappear.
Anyone see the new trailer? I think that masked guy is Ganon! I know he might not be in it, but WHO THE HELL ELSE!?! Besides, it would follow the story line. Ganon breaks the seal after MM but before WW, that's where TP takes place. It WILL NOT FIT if Ganon is gone. If it's vaati, that will kill the 3D series. He's only in NON-3D Zelda games. Skull kid was like a damn ape in MM, I made sure to shoot that itchy ass of his so he'd never live with purpose again. Someone new would be weird. So that's it. Ganon will more than likely make the shelves. Anyway, Midna wasn't exactly necessary to add in to the game as far as I know. The twilight princess is probably Zelda, she's apparently a captive in the twilight world. The masked man is guarded by 2 black things. Shows that he's important, he's probably captured her and trying to force her to become the twilight princess itself. The ONLY difference between the Wii and Gamecube versions is in the Wii, Link is right handed. In GCN he's still left.
Well those evil porthole monster things are probably trying to break Ganon's seal.
I would be very impressed if Nintendo can top OoT with TP. I would like it to but I'm very optimistic about it. If any of you haven't play OoT I highly advise you to.
Brotha2, it's the Twilight King behind the mask, that might be Ganon but he has been dubbed Twilight King. And there is more difference between the two versions, Wii uses the slash of the wiimote to attack or the pointer to fire long range and also the use of the wiimote speaker. It's not only that he is right handed, the whole game has been mirrored.
Not only is Link just right handed, but everything in the game is mirrored. Also the wii version runs in 16:9 widescreen while GCN doesn't. I think the graphics are also improved, and the most obvious difference, the crazy awesome new control mechanics, make the Wii version a hundred times better.
Big whoop! Who cares who the villain is, as long as the game has good gameplay. I heard that Zelda will be playable in this. Plus I heard Tingle will have his own game!
As much as I like The Twilight Princess on Wii, I think I'll just get the GameCube version of it.
I too have been a Zelda fan since I was in like first grade. The wind waker was cartoony and I really didn't like that, but the storyline was absolutely fantastic. I hope the twilight princess is like windwaker but more mature with graphics and the storyline (when I say mature I don't mean rated M stuff). Zelda, hooray!
There's a good chance the Twilight King is Ganon. There is a Gerudo symbol on his chest!
Wow! I love Zelda games. I played all the games and beat them, I can't wait until it come out. I can't stop thinking about Zelda Twilight Princess!
It looks like the navi reticule is a bit useless. You never really use it for anything, except when you aim with the bow and stuff. They could've made it that there is only the reticule when you need it for something.

My sister is playing on the game right now, she's freaking out! The Wii remote is awesome, better than I expected it to be and it's super easy to use. Zelda kicks ass.
If the Wii came out and the only game you could ever buy was this, I'd still buy it. Zelda is a fantastic game. I got ocarina of time, master quest and wind waker and I don't even own a gamecube that's how much I love these games. I got myself a N64 just to play ocarina of time.
It is fun playing as a wolf, but I like playing better as normal Link. The water suit is awesome.
This game is tight! Though a word to all of you, buy a strategy guide, this game can get a little confusing at times.
This game is definitely great, as I had expected. No need to go out and buy a guide though. There are plenty on gaming sites, if needed (for free).
I just got this game. Now I just need a Wii. The wait is killing me.
Why would you ever even get a guide? Half the fun in any zelda game is the puzzles, and the neat subquests and secrets.
Yeah I feel your pain, dying for Wii. I got the game from the store knowing that it would sell out immediately, but didn't win the lottery to buy the console. Now all I can do is hug my game and pretend I have a Wiimote in my hand.
After 8 years of fun I am finally sick of ocarina of time. If this one lasts I'll be 23 before I get sick of it. I LOVE Nintendo!

This game is so fun. And don't buy a guide, there are free guides online. Don't waste your money. This is even better than ocarina (which is hard to do because ocarina rocked).
