The huge air, blurring speed and insane tricks that SSX is known for return and the fun-factor is amplified by the unique capability of the Nintendo Wii controller. The game is in development by EA Montreal under the EA SPORTS BIG brand, and will be in store across North America and Europe in March 2007.
"We wanted to take the soul of the franchise-the air, the speed, the tricks, the fun-and Wii-ify it," said Alex Hyder, producer on the product. "You're going to see that reflected in the On-the-Ground & In-the-Air controls, the characters, the user interface, and every other aspect of this game."
SSX Blur is everything you expect from the franchise, delivered in a totally unexpected way. Revolutionary controls take full advantage of the Wii's potential by putting you in total command of your skier or rider, on-the-ground & in-the-air, by translating every motion you make into the skills that create mountain legends.

You think this game will have Mario & gang again? If so, I'm getting it!

SSX tricky was simply awesome for a while. After 60-70 hours of playing it. Was still awesome. Way to go!
jman0726 said:
I wonder if the controls will be similar to Excite Truck.

A snowboarding game is perfect for the Wii! Especially an SSX snowboarding game.

Oh hell yeah.
Wii Pwnes said:
Fumoffu, the sensor sticks would be called WII-MOTES!

Wait, some pics up there have skiers! I love to ski, in real life and video games.

Looks cool. Good name.

Dude, those graphics are awesome. So far I'm pretty excited about this game, I just might get it.
Iza said:
Yea, this is going to rock! I read that the tricks will be done by drawing crazy shapes on the screen with the wii-mote.

I'm looking forward to an EA game I can't believe it, I'm hoping for a analog steering come wiimote trick stick gameplay set up. Wiimote alone maybe too basic.
Iza said:
I think it said it will support the analog, but not in the conventional way. For instance, in turning, you would tilt both remotes, instead of tilting the stick. And for skiing, it could be how you build up speed. Who knows.

I'll only buy this game if anyone (like Mario, Sonic, etc.) are in the game. It'd be cool if an anime character like Forte from Galaxy Angels was playable in this. Let's face it, I LOVE anime girls!
Crimson Hawk said:
YES I love snowboarding and snowboarding games. I have to get this.
Jimmy said:
The game is controlled in the same style as Tony Hawks Downhill Jam. Hold it NES Style, tilt to turn, 1 to accelerate/jump, 2 to break or something? DPad to choose trick combos and shake to stand up. Simple, easy and effective.

SSX On Tour was a small setback to me. I hope they revive online play like in SSX3.
DarkVic said:
SSX Blur is going to be friggin awesome! Wii controls will make this the best snowboarding game ever. SSX tricky was sweet, but Blur, seeing as it is exclusive for the Wii is going to be much sweeter.
Matt said:
Last I heard this game was supposed to be released 2/27/07 in the US. Was it postponed?

This game actually looks pretty sweet, I'll have to pick it up.

Got this game. It's friggin sweet!

I think you tilt the the nunchuck to 'carve' through the snow, using the wiimote for drawing your uber-tricks. Looks awesome.
milk said:
I love this game, uber tricks are so easy to do, even though the tracks are reused I still love 'em.

Just don't say the acronym out loud.
