In a press release earlier today, Nintendo of Europe confirmed that the Virtual Console will welcome Commodore 64 to its list of systems supported.
Commodore 64 is an 8-bit machine, popular throughout the 80s. Games from its substantial back-catalog will be pedaled onto the VC regularly. Among the first games will be:
Each title will cost 500 Wii points, in line with the NES pricing. Currently the C64 will be limited to Europe.
Amstrad CPC FTW!

IU never really cared for the C64 anyway.

WOW! I can't believe this is happening! One question, however: Why should I care about this? I've never even heard of the console, which generally means it was a failure. I don't support Nintendo on this one.

What? No Saturn, no Atari 2600, no Dreamcast?

Why not Saturn or Dreamcast or GameBoy or even GameBoy Color?

Why does it have 64 on the end, is it of any relation to the N64.

I think Dreamcast might be a little too advanced. Games like Sonic Adventure came out for that, how much would it cost points-wise? 1500 points? As for Sega Saturn, it's similiar to Nintendo 64, so I can easily imagine it coming to Vitual Console.
