Mario 3DS game announced

This shouldn't come as any real surprise, but at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, Nintendo's head man Satoru Iwata announced a Super Mario game was in development for the 3DS handheld.

Actual game details are scarce at the moment. You can see that the logo above has some sort of tail attached, maybe we'll see the raccoon suit making a comeback?
