Capcom have announced they will be bringing the MotoGP franchise onto the Wii and DS. Previously limited to MS and Sony, this is the first time the series will grace a Nintendo console.
For the unfamiliar, MotoGP is about bike racing. The games span 18 Grand Prix tracks at various locations around the world, featuring all the best bike manufacturers and professional racers. Capcom's Mark Beaumont commented:
"We're very excited to sign this long term agreement with Dorna Sports, which for the first time grants one publisher worldwide multi-platform rights to the adrenaline fueled world of MotoGP. We feel this move to a single publisher will greatly benefit our ability to develop titles that deliver more authenticity and excitement to the consumer".
Who doesn't like excitement. The release dates aren't set, but you can expect the games to hit sometime this year.

Wii's World is not officially affiliated with Nintendo! (but they wish we were).

Capcom will also give us true ds/wii visuals. They're like that you know, an honest developer.

Wish other developers would treat the Wii like capcom does.
