A plethora of new characters have been confirmed for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. 3DS!

Twitch user Hamayama, revealed the characters during a live stream of what appears to be a final build version of the game.

The stream reveals quite a few unannounced fighters, some of which were shown in a recent leak (adding further validity to it), present in the game. Dark Pit and Duck Hunt Dog are the two new fighters shown, while many veterans (Falco, Ganondorf, Mr. Game & Watch, and Ness) make their return to the series.

The stream includes hints of Dr. Mario, Jigglypuff, R.O.B., and Wario's inclusion in the game as well. As for Bowser Jr., who is the last rumored character from the leak not to be confirmed yet, there's no news one way or the other.

Super Smash Bros. 3DS is due out on October 3rd in the US. The Wii U version of the game is slated for release this holiday season.

Update: Bowser Jr., Dr. Mario, Jigglypuff, and Wario have been confirmed as playable characters.
