A number of games have been revealed today for the WiiWare service:

  • Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Little King and the Promise Country - RPG with an incredibly long name from Square Enix.

  • Joy Sound - Karaoke title supporting a USB microphone and music downloads from Hudson.
  • Star Soldier R - New installment in the shooter series (Hudson).
  • Bomberman - No details (Hudson).

And we all thought that SquarEnix abandoned Wii. I would still rather Final Fantasy International versions cough.

As much as I like goodies from established publishers, wouldn't it be nice to have some unknown talent make some Wiiware? Like us everyday gamers?

Well after seeing the graphics on these wiiware titles are fairly good, I'd have to say these games must be fairly big. Meaning that Nintendo are either planning to, or will need to release an external hard drive.

Wow, that's going to be a while. Bomberman, yayness! I just hope that Gish will be on this too. Everything about it looks awesome, from the gameplay to the less-important graphics.

I'm already confused as to how they're going to fit TGCD games on the Wii's internal storage, but how will they fit a 3D RPG on it? I'm totally getting the new Star Soldier when it's out.

Hmm, March 2008 in Japan. That means it'll probably be August or September before they set this up for America. Crap, I'll be in college by then, and I don't think I'll be able to take our Wii with me. I'd buy a new Wii, but I paid quite a bit of money on our old one's vc.

Yea, but it's still just a Crystal Chronicles game rather than an installment in the main series.

I agree. Crystal Chronicles on the GC had some very good points, but it just lacked the epic deepness of regular installments of the series. And I'd surely love to see a FFIII-style revamped version of FFVI.
