This is not 3d! It's just sprites with shadow.

To be honest this game isn't that bad.

These graphics used to be gears of war esque.

It's actually not 3D but Pseudo 3D. This is a term used to describe visual phenomena which are considered between 2D and 3D.

It's more like 2.5D.

Thanks thesaurus.
Captain Jamesman said:
2.5D is 2-D gameplay with 3-D graphics. Examples include Sonic Rivals, Sonic Rush and New Super Mario Bros (yet NSMB is not a Sonic game).

Sonic, lay off the hair gel.

This game is the equivalent to Super Mario RPG in terms of graphics. The difference is that this game is not an RPG but a platformer. Sonic didn't had an RPG until the Nintendo DS rule portable.

This game is kind of okay, I guess, but it just takes so long to beat. I like the special stages in the Sega Saturn version, and their music.
