Hi there Wiisters, don't forget that after the end of this month Wii's Internet Channel will no longer be free (so get it if you haven't already!).
Following June 30th, the channel will cost 500 Wii Points to get.

Wii's World is not officially affiliated with Nintendo! (but they wish we were).

If you have to pay 500 points, you've been living under a rock.

5 bucks? I might fork it over, when NoE puts the Wii Points for Stars Catalogue. I have a LOT of stars to spend, so I'll probably end up buying useless trinkets such as this channel.

I already got the internet channel before it started costing. Yes I feel so awesome.

Well if my Wii Shop Channel wasn't screwing up, of course I'd buy it. But, as you can probably guess by now, it's screwing up so it won't let me get anything. I think it's my wireless connection, so I'm considering getting a wired connection for it. However, I may just say "screw it" and not get it at all since it's just a browser anyhow. I can get on the computer that's no more than 3 feet away from my Wii and use that rather than fork up $5 a month.

Uhh yeah. Don't forget it's free now. And that'll mean you won't ever have to pay. So why did Nintendo do that?

Beeck why would you want to fork over points if you can get it right now for free?

I was about to get Wii Internet Channel, but my mom says it makes no sense. I can use the computer.

I just deleted the internet channel a while ago. I wonder why I did that.

I'd buy it if they update to the newest flash player. Because most flash websites don't work on it.

OK, here's the choice we have to make: Get the internet channel for free now or wait a few days so we can pay 5 bucks for it. 5 bucks isn't a whole lot, but free is so much better. Especially since it really isn't worth 5 bucks when you can use a computer's web browser, which is a lot easier and efficient to use.

Scooby I think it's a one time payment, not $5 every month.

So UNFAIR. I only got my Wii yesterday so how could I get the internet channel for free? Grrrr.
Dare said:
Can someone please tell me if it is a one off payment or just for every month?
jdizzle said:
It will probably be a one off! I mean they can't take points away if you don't have them.

Mine says it costs 500 points.

I just got a router. So now I have internet on my Wii. I did the connection thing to set up my internet on my Wii but I have no idea how to access the internet. Or how to use it playing against someone. Can you please help me? And if it costs points how do I get those points?

I don't see "Internet Channel" on the WiiWare.

Screw this. I considered downloading the channel if it were free, but it's not. I'm not saying $5 is a lot or anything because it's not at all, it's just the ONLY point cards they sell are the $20 ones. I'd use a credit card if my parents allowed me to, but they won't allow it. I'd have to spend the $20, but screw that. Not worth it.
