Manhunt 2 now M rated

Manhunt 2 now M rated

After submitting a modified version of Manhunt 2, publishers Rockstar have been given an M rating for it by the ESRB.

Previously the game had been banned in the UK and given an AO rating in America, effectively meaning it could not be a profitable release. Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar commented:

"Manhunt 2 is important to us, we're glad it can finally be appreciated as a gaming experience. We love the horror genre. Manhunt 2 is a powerful interactive story that is a unique video game experience, we think horror fans will love it".

Who knows how much had to be cut in order to make the M rating happen, hopefully it's not a great deal. Manhunt 2 will be released on Halloween (woOOOoooOOoo!), which is October 31st.

They're appealing the UK ban, but it could take months unfortunately.

Aww, thanks. Homicidal maniacs can sometimes be so considerate. I might get this game, depending on if I can somehow get $50 out of thin air and get my brothers to take me up to a game store and get it. Which, as of right now, is near impossible.

Let's just hinder creativity at the cost of bad parenting! Then again, bad parenting is what made those maniacs who created this game in the first place.

Most people that don't live in the US have no idea when Halloween is. They also don't care.

Doesn't really matter. As long as it gets released in the states it will be released in most European countries. Even if it's not released in the UK, nothing will stop people from ordering their Pal version online. On another note, I am concerned about what it is they have cut out. And has the game suffered for it.

I do want this game but then again, I really need to know how much has been cut, I guess the question is "Is The Game Half-Full, Or Half-Empty?".

Keranu, I doubt they'd let you do that even in an AO game.
