Namco bringing 37 games to Wii in a year

A new press release suggest that Namco will be bringing a startling number of titles to the Wii. 37, all within the space of one year. That's like, one every 10 days. Considerably more than they'll be taking to the Xbox 360 and PS3.

This follows from the news that Namco were disappointed with sales of their Gundam game on PS3, which has gotten off to a blunderous start in the console race.

Wow, it really IS a game every 10 days (roughly). That's ultra-insane. They're going to be working their asses off, that's for damn sure. I hope these aren't just going to be 37 insignificant little dust-collector games.

We already know of that "Gundam FPS". Have you seen the released screenshots? Two Words: "N64 Graphics".

Oh my god! 37 games. Now, why do I get the feeling they are going to fill the market with useless minigames, many many ports and tons of half cooked games. It's impossible to publish so many games and have them be of high (or at least, good) quality.

Still no sign of the elder scrolls games on Wii but this will do.

Quantity over quality! What a great idea.

When Namco says 37 games, do they mean a 37 compiled minigames or 37 full separate games?

I hope they'll make a new pac man game.

Namco, be realistic. Releasing half-assed games at this rate will just make you more disappointed. Now stop it.

Heh, they better be at least pretty good or they are damned to do what ps3 did to gundam. And that's saying something.
