Breaking news, Nintendo of Japan's website confirms that Neo-Geo and MSX titles are heading to Wii this year, available through the Shopping Channel.
The initial MSX games will be available in Spring. They're likely to be Eggy and Aleste, costing 800 Wii points each. Neo-Geo games will start coming out in the summer.
Note however that the announcement is specific to the Japan region, it's not yet known whether we can expect any of this over here.

Wii's World is not officially affiliated with Nintendo! (but they wish we were).

Awesome! Although I never heard of those systems in my life. I heard that they were gonna put "Sega Saturn" games on the VC!

Sweet, now we finally get metal slug! Oh wait never mind.

I never played one. I don't know of any IPs that were born on it. Does anyone know of anything that might be worth buying from it?

Alright. That's cool, I guess. More past consoles to add to the Wii's greatness.

Go Neo-Geo!

Everything is coming to us. That is good.

That's really cool! If possible, games like Samurai Shodown, Magical Drop 3 and Metal Slug will be on Wii. I hope they put SNK VS Capcom: Chaos on this.

The Neo-Geo was probably the best console of its time. Apart from the snes. I loved my snes when it came out, but the neo-geo was the stuff dreams were made of. Each cart costing what the snes console cost. They weren't ports either, they were exact carbon copies of the original arcade games. Can't wait for the day when we can download those games.

One of the NG games should be KOF or metal slug.

Dude that sucks that it's only in japan. I mean we finally get the neo geo and it won't cost us one of our kidneys. And the msx too what's that? Oh well.

Aww come on. Spend more time on NES, SNES, N64, TG16 and Genesis. I couldn't care less about the Neo-Geo and MSX because I have no interest in them.

Well soon maybe. I really want to play metal slug on my classic controller. But at the same time it's lots of fun with the remote.

I'd love to see nights from sega saturn on the VC but could the Wii handle it memory wise? Anyone know?
Elementrat said:
Sam, the Saturn used a CD for games. CDs are usually around 700MB. The Wii has only 512 Internal Flash Memory so unless Nintendo releases an external Hard-drive, no.
Captain Jamesman said:
Forget I said Metal Slug, there's already Metal Slug Anthology. But still, bring on Samurai Shodown and SVC Chaos.

If only Wii could play arcade games. I would love to play games like Darkstalkers and Marvel VS Capcom.
